Disclosure Statement
Washtenaw United Way honors designations to 501(c)3 federally tax deductible, not-for-profit health and human service organizations and deducts 14.5%. Washtenaw United Way deducts 7.5% from designations to other United Ways including those servicing Chelsea, Jackson, Lenawee, Livingston, Monroe, Plymouth, Toledo and metro Detroit.
Washtenaw United Way requires that all agencies receiving designations through the campaign comply with the USA Patriot Act. In the event that an agency does not respond to WUW's request for compliance, WUW will make every effort to contact the donor to redirect the designation. In the event that WUW cannot contact the donor, the donation will revert to the Community Fund.
